The camera opens up on SAP owner Ty Buchbinder along with the rest of the SAP officials and staff members. They are all sitting around a table inside of a conference room at The Saratoga Hilton. Ty stands up, he is wearing a SAP t-shirt with the maple leaf logo.
Ty: Hello everyone. Today is going to be one of the biggest days in the short history of SAP wrestling. Now as you know when I decided to start SAP it was with the intentions of making it a brand for a small community in Upstate New York. It was my dream to provide the people I grew up with the chance to get a quality product that wasn’t too far from home. Thus the thought of expansion never crossed my mind. Until a few days ago.
Ty takes a drink of water before addressing the camera again.
Ty: I was recently approached with the proposition to purchase a neighboring independent promotion. At first I wasn’t that interested. Then it was revealed to me that without the sale the promotion would go under. Too many promotions close these days. It’s a sad event any time it plays out. So I agreed to purchase the Northern Wrestling Alliance. The NWA has been around in the northeast for a very long time. Even I before I was Prince Wadjethotep wrestled inside an NWA ring inside of a middle school gym in Springfield, Massachusetts. They used to be much larger but have now been kept to running a small area in Western Massachusetts. Now this is where I’m hoping people are asking the question how does Southern Adirondack Pro fit in with Massachusetts. The answer is that it doesn’t.
Ty then turns around to a whiteboard and has someone turn on the projector showing the new SAP logo.
Ty: The SAP in SAP wrestling now stands for Spirit And Pride. We will provide quality pro wrestling to the Capital District, Mohawk Valley, and the entire Adirondack Park in New York. Along with providing the same services for the Berkshires and Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts. While also doing the same for the entire state of Vermont. The NWA has also bestowed upon us it’s championships. Now while we are not sure when we are going to introduce those titles in order to keep the legacy of the Northern Wrestling Alliance alive we have decided to keep their name as the governing body of our championships. Therefore we will take on the final owner of the NWA as a new SAP official.
Ty then points to a man sitting at the table.
Ty: That man is Avery Quinn. Avery has been in the wrestling business since 1970 and will be a great addition to the SAP family. We may have had some differences in the past during Avery’s times in ANZAC Pro and NGW but we have put those behind us to work on a bright future. So today I would like to proudly announce the venue for our first card in this expansion. But before that I would like to reassure everyone that SAP still has the same principles it had before. We will still visit small towns and cities within our territory. That is why we chose the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Skating Rink in North Adams, Massachusetts. North Adams has a small population in comparison to other cities in Massachusetts and we want to reflect who we are in that. Yet in order to try and get people from all three states to get to share in on the show we are making seven hundred tickets available for this show. Making it our biggest yet. So I please implore all of you to try and make it to our next show titled “Fall Classic I: Thunder Rolls”. I plan on the Fall Classic becoming an annual event and I can’t wait to see what the first one brings! I’d like to thank everyone for their time and please continue to support SAP!
