I cut you into pieces
Searching for your imperfections
I had plans to make you whole
But all my threads couldn't stop the bleeding
There's nothing left but I'm not leaving
When
All
I
Know
Is
You
I've been looking for a way to bring you back to life.
Searching for your imperfections
I had plans to make you whole
But all my threads couldn't stop the bleeding
There's nothing left but I'm not leaving
When
All
I
Know
Is
You
I've been looking for a way to bring you back to life.
Memories of an Antagonist.
It was the day after bringing the man to face his judgment. Sixteen year old Gabriel Laroux sat upon the tattered couch, a warm smile on his face as he watched Ten year old Xavier and Atticus engrossed in a game of Mario Brothers on the newly purchased Nintendo while six year old Alaina happily played with her new baby doll, cradling it in her arms, a toy bottle held to its mouth.
Despite how it felt to do those things he had to do, seeing his siblings having something they can be happy with was worth whatever he had to do. As he went to lay back upon that couch, the front door of that cramped apartment opened up and in walked an older female, the four’s mother.
She looked around, seeing Xavier and Atticus playing their game, Alaina playing with her baby, the bags of groceries resting on the circular kitchen table. Confusion set in as she walked over to that couch, looking down to Gabriel.
“What's all this?”
”I got a job, mom. I can help out around here now.”
Standing up from that couch, he dug into the back pocket of his black denim jeans, pulling out the brown leather wallet that was considerably more full than usual. Opening it up, he pulled out part of that stack, offering it to his mother. She looked down at the outreached hand, slowly shaking her head before knocking his hand away.
“Are you fucking kidding me? What did you do for that?”
Each of her words cut deeper than the last, the pained expression growing across his face as he looked to those bills as they now laid upon the floor.
”Mo..”
Before he could finish that word, he felt the sharp stinging slap across his face. His head jerking to the side, he closed his eyes tightly, trying to keep it together.
“I know things have been hard since your father left but we're doing just fine without whatever you had to do for that dirty money.”
”We aren't doing fine though. Your drinking..”
Once again, he felt that opened palm slapping against the side of his face. Turning his head back to look at her, tears beginning to well up at the bottoms of his eyes.
“I want you out of my home.”
The words caught in his throat, his eyes widening largely as those tears began to fall. Struggling to get those words past the lump in his throat, the expression on his features were that of shock, growing into horror as realization set in.
”B..but mom..where am I supposed to go?”
“That's not my problem. You’re not my problem anymore.”
”M..”
“NOW!”
The loudness of that single word had the three younger children looking over, looks of fear and confusion on the faces of Atticus, Xavier, and Alaina. Lowering his head, Gabriel looked over towards his siblings before returning his gaze to his mother. Slowly, he shook his head before pushing past her, making his way towards that door.
Once outside, Gabriel slammed that door closed, stopping to lean against it for a moment. From inside, he could hear the cries of Alaina and the sounds of Xavier and Atticus asking where he was going. A few of those tears dropped as Gabriel steeled himself, he shoved off of that door before making his way down the flight of stairs and off towards the road.
Stopping once he reached a pay phone, he dug into the pocket of those jeans, pulling out some change. Inserting it into the machine, he picked up the phone before dialing a number and waiting for the answer from the other side. As soon as they picked up, Gabriel spoke, his voice cracking as he did so.
”I need another job..and a place to crash at.”
After a few moments of listening to the instruction given by the one on the other side, he nodded his head, hanging the phone up. Turning around, he looked up at that door leading back into the apartment. A soft sigh rolling free, Gabriel clenched his jaw, turning away and walking off.
The Antagonist and The Satanist.
[/i][/center]Fading into view, “The Antagonist” Gabriel Laroux as he slowly walked down the sidewalk of a rather ran down neighborhood. Arms held outwards as he walked, seemingly presenting himself to the world. A sardonic expression overtaking his features, Gabriel wore what had become almost a signature look of a pair of solid black slacks and an equally black unbuttoned jacket with black sunglasses covering his eyes.
”It is as I said it would be. Cecily Bell has fallen to my feet and I am The Showcase of FAW. Combine that with my rapidly growing status as Face of SAP and what Bael is going against is a man riding a wave of momentum that's ready to crash down upon The Satanist, burning out the leader of The Hellfire Club.”
“Once upon a time, I had an interest in The Hellfire Club. Joey Ortega and Stone Hemingway in particular. But as time went on, they continued to show nothing but failure time and time again. Eventually..the interest faded away. New faces emerged. The fight continued. But what you see now is a sham, a falsity perpetrated by Asmodeus Bael.”
“Time and time again, Bael has spoken out of place against the highly influential Phoenix. For that, your wrongs must be made right and I am the one to get that done. I am not like those you are used to fighting, Bael. I do not cower. I am not a fragile little gamer girl. I am a machine whose prime objective is to physically break you down until you stay down for the three seconds or you just can't take the pain and slap your hand against that canvas. I assure you, Bael, I am capable of inflicting such pain to you.”
“I've lived a..questionable life, to say the least. While others have shown to be intimidated or fearful of you..I will show you neither. What I will show you? Your place in line. You've gone unchecked long enough and now..I will show you your place..at my feet.”
Gabriel continued his trek down that sidewalk, the surrounding area silent to the point that the thudding of his black boots against the concrete echoed audibly.
”Because of her, this..”
He made motion to the abandoned area all around him. Ran down buildings, each in worse shape than the one before.
”Is all that remains of your Club, Bael. You look at her and you see just one woman. But if your eyes were open..you would see she's so much more. Powerful people surround themselves with powerful people. Her power far surpasses your own, Bael. Our match will be the purest form of that lesson.”
“On a more..personal note..Satanist. I won't delve into religious debate but I will say: A philosophy that urges self-worship and elitism will always attract transparent fools who do nothing but pretentiously posture about with an undue sense of superiority.”
His words were laced with disgust, the expression on his features mirroring that feeling. Turning his head to the side, he spat off onto the blacktop street before returning his attention to the subject at hand.
”How does it feel to be mere days away from standing face to face with someone who won't bow to you? Someone who is more interested in the fight at hand than they are what game comes out next. Someone who has no problem walking up to you and shoving their fist down your throat. Bael..I am Gabriel Laroux..The Antagonist. In that ring, you will learn all too well why she chose me..me..as the Face of SAP. Be prepared.”
He turned his back before slowly walking off in the same direction he came from, the scene slowly fading away.
